Division of Internal Medicine

The Department of Internal Medicine is the largest clinical department at the Hanil Medical Center and is one of the oldest internal medicine training hospitals in the country. With a view to holistic treatment, this department has been subdivided into the division of the circulatory system, the division of respiratory organs and infection, the division of digestive organs, the division of internal secretion, the division dedicated to kidneys, the division of hemato-oncology, and the division of nuclear medicine.

This department is composed of medical workers specialized in internal medicine including the 12 specialists of each of the individual divisions (clinical division managers), residents and nurses working in the ward, outpatient clinics, and the emergency room. This department operates intensive care units for internal medicine related patients, intensive care units for heart disease patients, radioactive isotope treatment rooms, artificial kidney rooms, diabetes classrooms and a nutrition consultation room for specialized treatment.
