The Department of Thoracic-Cardiovascular Surgery at the HanilGeneral Hospital began treatment in 1994 and succeeded in its initial renal transplantation on February 18, 1999 - a first among secondary hospitals in the region. Thereafter, this department has provided patient-oriented treatment services through excellent equipment and specialists which has greatly contributed to positive patient outcomes. Patients who have been cured of diseases through these services have since organized a patient club under the name 'Han Love Club' in recognition of the hospital’s superior healthcare and to have periodic support meetings post-hospitalization.
