The Department of Orthopedic surgery is focused on studying the form and functions of the body’s extremities including the spine, and accessory organs. This field also deals with areas of internal medicinal, surgery, and physical methods to preserve, restore and develop healthy organs.

The orthopedic surgery department at the HanilGeneral Hospital treats injuries such as fractures or dislocations of extremity bones, joints and vertebrae and damage to ligaments. Doctors and staff perform tissue reconstruction in relation to joint diseases or damage, and artificial joint replacements for hip joints and knee joints. In addition, this department introduces high level medical technologies in the areas of degenerative spinal diseases, foot diseases and malformation, hand and shoulder joint diseases, treatment of athletic damage to knee joints using arthroscopes and artificial joint replacements.
