The Department of Emergency Medicine at the HanilGeneral Hospital is equipped with a burn treatment room, obstetrics and gynecology examination room, child treatment room and otorhinolaryngology examination table along with the newest medical devices. The center has been providing comprehensive and effective treatment to all visiting patients through facility improvements in 2011.

The Department of Emergency Medicine was designated as a "regional emergency medical center" for the Dobong and Gangbuk areas. Five specialists in emergency medicine stay in the center 24 hours a day to provide fast treatment to not only patients in the area of emergency medicine such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intoxication, injury and child emergency patients but also patients with diverse diseases in the areas of internal medicine and surgery. This department also closely works with other specialized departments so that various serious acute patients can be treated faster in cooperation with relevant specialized departments.
