Hospitalization/Discharge Procedure

Guide to Hospitalization (Hospitalization Process)
step.01 Decision for Hospitalization
If an outpatient department has confirmed to provide hospital treatment to you, please come to the hospitalization process desk.
step.02 Hospitalization process
If you prepare an application for hospitalization at the desk, a hospital room will be assigned to you. For the hospitalization process, you will need a financial guarantor.
step.03 Ward Room
When your hospital room has been determined, go to the nurse's station of the relevant ward, get information on matters necessary for your hospital life from a nurse and proceed to your room.
step.04 Hospital Room Assignment
Your desired hospital room grade may be different from the grade of the hospital room assigned to you, depending on hospital room conditions on the day of hospitalization. Hospital rooms left after inpatients have moved to their desired hospital room grades are assigned in order or by reservations for hospitalization.

※ Emergency patients shall use the reception desk next to the emergency medical center for hospitalization.

Preparation for Hospitalization
  • Please prepare a toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper, slippers, water cup, soap and towels.
  • Patient bedding will be provided by the hospital. If you need additional covers, you should personally prepare them.

Preparation for Patient Discharge

If the hospital has decided to discharge you, the attending physician or responsible nurse will give you information on matters that require attention such as medication, diet, and articles necessary when you are back home.
If you have any questions, make sure to ask them at this time to your satisfaction.

Patient Discharge Process
step.01 Decision to Discharge
When the doctor responsible for your care has notified you that you are discharged, the discharge desk will calculate hospital expenses and will call your hospital room.
step.02 Payment of Hospital Expenses
Check your hospital expenses at the discharge desk and provide payment for treatment. Remember to receive your issued receipt.
step.03 Leave for Home
After paying your hospital expenses, listen to the explanations regarding medication after discharge and possible reservations for additional ambulatory treatment in detail.
